About The Institute of Carbon Technologies

In The Institute of Carbon Technologies we manufacture high-quality tailored nanocarbon components.

The Institute of Carbon Technologies is the only Polish manufacturer and supplier of efficient components based on carbon nanotubes. It is also a research centre focusing on development of carbon nanotechnology with the aim to cooperate in production of innovative, multifunctional and environment-friendly products based on nanocarbon raw materials.

Experts’ opinions

We have our own research laboratory with modern analytical equipment and, at request of our customers, provide experts’ opinions in the field of testing of influence of ionising radiation on degradation of materials, analysis of crystalline structure of ceramics and concrete, analysis of electrical properties of coats and materials, quantitative analysis of elemental composition and analysis of chemical composition of polymers plastics and composite materials.

Projects

Under the Regional Operation Program of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship for 2014-2020-EFRR, The Institute of Carbon Technologies realizes Project: Research and development work on production of lubricants with graphene component and graphene oxide. The project aimes at carrying fundamental research on exfoliation mechanisms of modefied and natural graphite into graphene and graphene oxides as well as research and develompent of innovative technology for producing plastic and solid lubricants based on graphene and graphene oxides with increased lubrication parameters. Lubricants modified by this technology will show a reduced coefficient of friction on sliding surfaces and a reduction of their wear. This product will find its economical applications in the automotive and machine industry.

Properties and application of carbon nanotubes

Products based on carbon nanocomposites have increased electrically conductive and anti-electrostatic properties as well as characterized by high durability and tensile strength.

In The Institute of Carbon Technologies we manufacture high-quality tailored nanocarbon components.

The main component of Carbon4NANO includes carbon nanotubes characterised by:

  • – high electrical and thermal conductivity,
  • – resistance to high current and temperatures,,
  • – increased anti-electrostatic properties,
  • – transparency (in case of single wall nanotubes),
  • – hydrophobic properties,
  • – flexibility and tensile strength,
  • – resistance to corrosion

CARBON4nano are components based on modified carbon nanotubes, which can be used successfully as an addition to plastics and such coats as:

  • – paints and varnishes,
  • – inks,
  • – multifunctional coats,
  • – anti-fouling coats,
  • – hydrophobic coats,
  • – conductive coats and anti-electrostatic coats intended for protection of floors in electrical equipment fitting rooms, server rooms, laboratories or operating theatres,
  • – anti-electrostatic materials.
